For, and on behalf of my family, I sincerely appreciate the exemplary and compassionate service offered by Palmetto Funeral Home and Cremation Service. We lost a beloved husband, dad, granddad, brother-in-law and friend. Colonel Donald Garrett, USAF Ret., passed away after a lengthy illness before dawn onThursday, July 23.
I contacted Palmetto late Thursday morning, and by 5 PM Thursday afternoon, arrangements were completed for Don's funeral and cremation. I had the great fortune to work with Dayne Marsh, a gentleman that I can't begin to thank enough for his empathy, kindness, compassion, and professionalism.
On Friday afternoon, Dayne had arranged for our small family gathering to say goodbye to Don. Everything was perfect, and just as Dayne said it would be.
Having an organization like Palmetto, and Dayne, help us through this very sad event was comforting, and invaluable to me and all our family. Dayne continues to work with my sister, Don's wife, to help with other needs she may have as a result of his passing. Just a great, generous guy.
For anyone needing help with end of life arrangements, I sincerely, and with utmost respect, recommend Palmetto.
On behalf of our dad, Bill Steele, Veteran and Purple Heart recipient from the Vietnam War, let me say Thank you!
Thank you for the professionalism, caring hearts and outstanding service that was provided to my family. The compassion and professionalism of Palmetto's staff, Dayne, Jeff and Beth will always be so appreciated and treasured.
Palmetto made our family feel so at ease with every decision that was made. They were able to have the fine veterans of the American Legion participate and honor our dad during the uncertain times of the pandemic.
We could tell Palmetto's team had a great relationship with our church, Pastor and church staff. This made the service so much easier even through the COVID19 pandemic.
Not only was the staff so accommodating in preparation of arrangements, service at our church and graveside but Dayne and Beth were so helpful with our questions afterwards.
We can't say enough positive things about Palmetto. We will always highly recommend this organization, location and the compassionate staff.
Thank you again for everything Palmetto and staff have done for our family! Many blessings to you all!
On behalf of our Dad Robert Smalls Jr. Army, Veteran from WW II. We the Smalls Family would like to take the opportunity to Thank you and each one of your staff members for their warm and caring manner during our time of grief. The respect, dignity, and support our family received will NOT be forgotten. We appreciated Palmetto’s high level of professionalism, courtesy, compassion and quality of care throughout the preparation of our dad’s funeral arrangements.
Despite Covid-19, Palmetto Funeral Home of Fort Mill, S.C. responded with service options tailored to our every need, this is due to the personal service that Greg offered in a timely manner. Greg laid out the options and pricing without pushing us in any way, which we appreciated. Thank You for your acts of kindness, generosity and Love. Stay safe and take care throughout this pandemic.

I am so sorry that I have taken so long to complete the service response form. But, I want you to know that from the first moment I went to see you to arrange for Bobby's Celebration of Life, I was so impressed with everything. You were kind, caring, offered many suggestions, and provided exactly what I needed. I cannot say enough about how pleased I was at the way everything was handled. I also received several remarks from family and friends about the quality and content of the service and the facility. I would also like to let you know that Brittany was so very helpful in so many ways with the obituary and the video and helping me set up the room. It was a extremely difficult time for me and I so appreciate her being so kind and accommodating. I will send her a letter of appreciation under seperate cover, but wanted you to know what a wonderful addition she is to your staff. Thank you again. Your job is a very special one, and one that takes a unique and dedicated approach. Our family is so very grateful you were there, Sincerely, Sue Coggins and Family
Dear Brittany: I want to take this opportunity to extend to you my gratitude and myheartfelt appreciation for the way in which you assisted us with the Celebration of Life for Bobby. You are very caring, gentle person and you certainly were also extremely helpful in putting together the video for the service and editing the obituary and other information. Thank you so much for your efforts. I can only imagine how challenging your job is on a daily basis, but you are a definite asset to Palmetto and I just want you to know how much our family appreciated you during a most difficult. In Appreciation, Sue Coggins and Family
Thank you for being so helpful & knowledgeable while planning arrangements! Your funeral home was a blessing to our family! Thanks Again!
Brittany went above and beyond to accommodate us.
Thank you for all your assistance in planning my Dad's memorial service. You made a lot easier for all of us.
To Our Friends at Palmetto Funeral Home, Thank you for the kindness and compassion you showed my family after the passing of my husband, Anthony Pijerov. I am grateful to have had all of you by my side during this difficult time. Sincerely, Brooke Pijerov
My husband passed recently and like anyone else in that moment I was shocked. It was an unexpected death and also I am not from this area of the country, living here only a year. My family placed a few phone calls inquiring about prices for the type of service we were looking for. Costs of these services vary greatly from funeral home to funeral home if you take the time to investigate. I wanted a funeral home that had an onsite crematorium. Palmetto Funeral Home has that. In the phone calls we made that information isn't volunteered unless you ask. The body is transferred to another site. I didn't like that idea. Services that Palmetto Funeral Home offers are presented but not pushed. My family and I recommend the services offered by Derrick Robinson and his staff. We were very pleased.
It will soon be a year that we have laid my husband to rest. As the mark approaches and I reflect back on everything, I want to take a moment and let you know how much I appreciate the way you and your team handled everything. My daughter and I were guided through the process with grace and elegance. Never did we feel like we were being pressured to buy something or do something to benefit Palmetto Funeral Home. It was all about us. Furthermore, when I made an inquiry about something in November - a good eight months after we laid Dana to rest, your team went above and beyond to try and help me find what I was looking for, even offering your help for anything else I may need. And the tone it was offered in sounded genuine. I cannot express how meaningful all of this together is to us.
Dear Sponsors at Palmetto Funeral Home, I was nominated for the "Do the Right Thing" award. At the ceremony I received many generous gifts which were sponsored by you. Thank you so much for your generosity and for sponsoring this program. Thank You, Lainie Collins
Derrick & Team, Thank you so much for your help and professionalism. We all appreciate it. Tim, Kim, Kacey, and Chris
Mrs. Smith, There really aren't enough words to thank you for the compassion that you showed me and my family during the wake of my father, Robert Millar. The death of a loved one is hard enough, but all that extra drama was just heartbreaking. Your kind words and hugs went a long way! Also, asking your son to deliver your message at the church was the sweetest gesture I've ever seen. You truly are a special person! Always grateful, Barbara Farrington
We would like to extend our "Thanks" for all the kindness and thoughtfulness at this difficult time. We knew from speaking with Derrick over the phone that we were going through Palmetto. Kim was so helpful with our questions and arrangements. She made everything as easy as possible. All of the kindness was greatly appreciated and will not be forgotton. Thanks to all.
Dear Derrick, I learned from Joe Wilson at Mahaffey's that you now have your own funeral home. I want to congratulate you on your achievement and wish you much success. Serving the folks in the Fort Mill area with the same caring and distinguished manner you have always shown us should render you much appreciation. I will always be grateful for the professional grace you have shown me and the family. Thank you. Merry Christmas to you, your staff, and your family.
Dear Derrick, Thank you so very much for all your help and support in the passing of our mom. You were like our special angel. We were so new to all this and numb at the loss of mom. You certainly made it a little easier. Wishing you all the best.
Dear Friend, Thank you so much for what you do. Please know we felt we were with family during the loss of our mother Frances Stallings. You were a tremendous help with all the preparations of her burial. You even went the extra mile and help us with the life insurance policies. Tell the ladies there Thank-you as well. It surely takes a village to get it all done.
Derrick, we want to tell you how much we appreciate all that you and your staff did to make our difficult time easy for our family. You were always available for us at any time, and everything turned out beautiful. We know that the trip to Georgia had to be hard on you especially with the bad weather. But, you again took care of everything and made it work. We didn't have to worry about anything. We wish for you the very best just as you give to others. Best regards.
Thank you so much for everything.
Kim, I can't thank you enough for all your help and extra support during our difficult time. You went above and beyond. Thanks.
