Shirley Sheila White

Fort Mill, SC - Shirley Sheila (Forbes) White, 84, passed away peacefully at home in Fort Mill, SC on June 20, 2021.

A Funeral Service (Celebration of Life) will be 1:30 pm Friday, July 2, 2021, at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 8515 Rea Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173.

She was born on December 28 in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Shirley had a very deep faith in God, she was an avid reader of the bible, a steady churchgoer and faithful follower. Her love for her family and friends was her next great devotion. Many who met her would comment on how wonderfully peaceful they felt in her presence, and they could clearly see the love and compassion she had for all. On Sundays Shirley would go to church, enjoy time gardening, then calling all of her friends and beloved family members, spending as much time with each of them as she could.

Shirley spent her career as a dedicated nurse. After graduating from Nuthall Medical School in the UK, she began her nursing career in London England. She then returned to work in Jamaica and then she later moved on to work in New York City. After many years of devoted service, she retired as a Registered Nurse in Atlanta, GA.

Shirley is preceded in death by her mother Phyllis J. Forbes, and Father Egbert J. Ricketts. She is survived by her sons Densel and Anthony White, and seven grandchildren Erica, Alexandra, Ian, Molly, Sophia, Aliya, and Jevon; and her great grandson Tristan.

Shirley will be forever loved and deeply missed by all whose lives and hearts she touched.
