Paul Wayne Yates

Paul Wayne Yates, 69, of Indian Trail, NC, went to be with his Savior Sept 10, 2021. 

When He called your name you were ready to go.  Even though there was still so much to do, it wasn’t as important as going home because things on earth were through. You leave a legacy rich with lives you’ve touched along the way through family and friends who loved you. You have always been our rock, protector and helping hand. You were selfless in all you did for those you love.  Dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. There was no one you could count on more. You will be greatly missed. 

Paul was born in Rock Hill, SC on Febuary 18, 1952 to R.B. and Ruth Yates.  He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Diane Yates; his daughter Amanda Yates; 3 granddaughters, Juliana Aubrey Talero, Gabriella Rayne Talero and Alexia Sky Talero; great-granddaughter Myla Rayne Starnes and brothers, Reverend Barry Yates and Larry Yates of Fort Mill and their families. 

Paul was proceeded in death by his parents R.B. and Ruth Yates and brother Ronnie Yates. 

The Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 19, 2021 with Rev. Barry Yates officiating, at Carolinas Cornerstone Church, 1790 Gardendale Road, Fort Mill, SC 29708.  The family will receive friends immediately after the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in honor of Paul to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
