Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Lewis William Wommer Sr., 75, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at his home.

A native of Danville, Pa., Mr. Wommer was a son of the late Lewis Edgar Wommer and Martha James Wommer. Mr. Wommer faithfully served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was the former pastor of Family Bible Worship Center, Rock Hill, SC. He loved watching NASCAR and his favorite driver was Jimmy Johnson (#48). He was a hard-working man who provided for his family. He enjoyed shooting his guns. The last few years has proven how strong he really was.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Cherie Spreine Wommer; two sons, Frederick Wommer and Lewis Wommer Jr.; two daughters, Shelly Smarzik and Crickett Pfirman (Randy Pfirman); a brother, James Spreine; seven grandchildren, Marlana Brown, Brittney Wommer, James Wommer, Blake Pfirman, Garrett Pfirman, Jacob Smarzik, and Matthew Smarzik; and four great-grandchildren, Savannah Wommer, Abby Wommer, Kendyll Pfirman, and Korrie Pfirman.
