Leonard Andrew Dewitt

Leonard Andrew Dewitt “Andy”, 69 of Chester, SC and formerly of Rock Hill, passed away at The Chester Nursing Center on August 2nd, 2021. He was born on September 23rd, 1951, in Rock Hill, SC to the late Ezra and Jeanette Dewitt.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings Sonja Arnold, Wanda Collins, Julius Dewitt, and Randy Dewitt.

Andy grew up in Rock Hill, where he played football for Rock Hill High School. He graduated from Winthrop College with a 4-year degree.  Andy started his own locksmith business and operated it for over 30. For the past 11 years, Andy lived with his sister, Patsy.

Survivors include three sisters: Patsy Mora of Chester, Susie Huffstellar, and Dianne Crosby of Rock Hill, and one brother: Doug Dewitt.

A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.

Friends may pay their respects between 10:00am and 12 noon Wednesday.
