Joseph Wayne Mallard

Joseph Wayne Mallard, age 47, went to be with our Lord on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Atrium Health Care in Pineville, NC. Born in Rock Hill, SC, Joe was the son of Ann Marie Threatt Mallard and the late Jerry Wayne Mallard.

He received his associates Degree in Business Management with honors at York Technical College in Rock Hill, SC. He worked at Labcorp in Charlotte, NC for seven years. He recently went to work for Dash Courier Service in Charlotte, NC. Joe enjoyed playing pool at APA Pool League, watching Charlotte Hornets Basketball and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Joe is survived by his mother, Ann Marie Threatt Mallard of Fort Mill, SC: two brothers: Billy Ray Mallard of Fort Mill, SC and James Smith Mallard of Lancaster, SC; and four nephews, four nieces and many cousins, including Dale Munn.

The funeral service will be 2:00pm Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Saturday.

Interment will follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.
