John "Ronnie" Campbell Obituary

 

John Clayron “Ronnie” Campbell, 77, of Fort Mill passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 11, 2020.

 

Ronnie was born August 9, 1943 in Richmond, VA. He was a member of Fort Mill Church of God where he had compassion for people, which became a passion for mission work locally as well as world wide. Ronnie helped his family operate Dura Service Wholesale Auto Parts Warehouse in Charlotte, NC. He will always be remembered as a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather who cherished his family.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Rebecca “Becky” Campbell of the home; three children, Ginger Campbell of Isle of Psalms, SC, Ben Hudgins and wife Missy of Fort Mill and John C. Campbell, Jr. of Fort Mill. Also surviving are four grandchildren Ashley Hudgins, Dakota Campbell, Meredith Hudgins, and Clayron “Clay” Campbell; step mother Ruth Campbell of Charlotte; three brothers Scott Campbell and wife Debbie of Charlotte, Buck Driggers and wife Janet of Charlotte and Michael Driggers and wife Hennie of Charlotte.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM. at the Fort Mill Church of God with Pastor Mark Leonhardt and Pastor Larry Nivens officiating. The church will be open at 1:00 PM on Monday for early arrival to ensure seating following social distancing guidelines are kept. THE FAMILY RESPECTFULLY REQUESTS THAT NO FLOWERS BE SENT TO THE SERVICE. 

 

Due to his love and involvement in his mission work memorials may be made to Hearts Secured Ministry, PO Box 1534, Fort Mill, SC 29716. Ronnie enjoyed serving on many projects in the United States and Panama, by building houses, churches and wheel chair ramps. 

 

The family would like to thank Hospice and Community Care and Fort Mill Church of God for the loving support given to them during this time.
