John Raymond Laughridge

 Mr. John Raymond Laughridge, age 80, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at his home.

  Born in York, S.C., John was a son of the late Raymond Laughridge and Kathleen Smith Laughridge. He served in the S.C. National Guard and was a Member of the American Legion Eli Bailes Post 43 Honor Guard. John was a retired truck driver and worked at the Indian Land Convenience Center.

     Surviving are his wife of 51 years,  Patricia Ellen Culp Laughridge; two daughters, Jodie Rae Cantrell of Indian Land and Lisa Culp Starnes (Casey) of Charlotte; his brother, Gary Laughridge of York; two sisters, Mary E. Jackson of Rock Hill and Brenda Robinson of York; four grandchildren, Samantha Queen, Christopher Cantrell,  Corbin Cantrell and Mark Morris; and Seven great-grandchildren, Hayden Queen, Brooklyn Queen, Dallas Queen, Gracelyn Morris, Kaleb Morris, Kloe Morris and Taylor Starnes. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Kathy Marie Miller and Tammy Laughridge.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Veterans Administration.
