Joanna Brodersen Ward

Joanna Brodersen Ward, 55, passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2021, in the loving arms of her family.  Born May 5, 1965 in Detroit, MI to John (Hans) Brodersen and the late Dolores Brodersen, she graduated from Shrine Catholic High School in Royal Oak, MI, and continued on to receive her bachelor degree in Education from Wayne State University and Lawrence Technical University.  She used her talents as a teacher in Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina and with Chinese students online.   Joanna was known for her beautiful smile, upbeat personality, love of adventures with her husband, and her willingness to help others learn and grow.  She will be missed so much by all who knew her, especially her friends and extensive family.   Joanna was the beloved Wife of Christopher Ward, dearest Mother of Jessica Brodersen and Step-mother to Elizabeth Ward, loving Grandmother of Braydin and Austin, dearest Sister of John Brodersen. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 11:00 am at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive in Fort Mill, SC.  Receiving family and friends after the service.
