James Lambirth Magee

On January 15, 2021 James Lambirth Magee passed away at his home in Tega Cay, SC.  Born on June 20, 1931 in Grove City, PA, he was the son of Susan Hainley and Ralph Magee. James graduated from Grove City High School in Grove City, PA and then from Penn State University, PA with a BA in Business Management and Marketing.  During his career as Vice President of Fabricated Products/Townsend, James traveled Germany, England, Switzerland, and the continental US.  After retiring from Townsend, James became a successful entrepreneur. When he wasn't spending time with his family, James enjoyed golf and mountain biking in his spare time.  James was a wonderful father and grandfather, he always took care of his family and was always available for those in need.  James is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Virginia B. Magee, and his son, Thomas R. Magee.  He is survived by three children; Margaret Magee, Jonathan Magee and wife Fiona, Mary Magee Robbins and her husband Bobby, and seven grandchildren; Brittany, Ryan, Tyler, Olivia, Aaron, Megan, and Heath, and two great grandchildren; Ruby and Jax. James will be truly missed by all who knew and truly loved him.  Services will be at Grace Presbyterian Church, Tega Cay, SC on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 1pm.  Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church.
