A brother, Joseph Erskine Rea, at age seven, predeceased Harry as well as a sister, Margaret (Peggy) Anne McCully who passed in 1995. Harry graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and worked in insurance for several years before beginning his construction business. After retirement he enjoyed courier work, part time for B&G Courier Service, located in Pineville.

In addition, our beloved cousin and prayer warrior, Jane Rea Clute of Vancouver, Washington also survives, along with a multitude of other cousins and many friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Monroe Rehabilitation Center for their love and compassionate care, as it was nothing less than outstanding. The staff, nurses, and doctors serve their residents as friends and family in addition to their duties as caretakers and healthcare workers. We will always be grateful for their compassionate care, loving spirit, and welcoming hearts. We are also grateful to Hospice and Palliative Care, whose expertise helped guide our family during Harry’s last months with us.

A memorial service is planned for a later date at the Pineville Masonic Lodge where Harry was extremely proud of his membership.

In lieu of flowers please consider a monetary contribution to the James K. Polk Masonic Lodge #759 900 Hill Street, PO Box 1043, Pineville, NC, 28134
