Glenn Woods, Jr. a resident of Fort Mill, SC, made his final move on Sunday night when he went home, walking straight and tall, to be with his Lord and Savior. Glenn is survived by his wife, Patricia (Antonitis) Woods, sons Philip Thomas Woods (Augusta, GA), Ryan Patrick Woods (Redmond, WA), Jake Alexander Woods, and Hudson Taylor Woods. He is also survived by his dear friend, Sandra (Holcomb) Woods of Augusta, GA.
Born in Atlanta, GA, Glenn was the son of Glenn and Cecilia (Duran) Woods and the brother of sister Patti (Bohannon), who preceded him in death on March 1, 2021. Glenn and Patti shared much as siblings, especially later in life when both were diagnosed within months of each other with early onset Parkinson’s Disease. Glenn was in his late 40’s and Patti was in her early 50’s.
Glenn was a member of Eternal Church where he served in various volunteer roles over the years and participated in Bible Study with the Wednesday night men’s group. Glenn worked for and retired from American Airlines (formally Piedmont Airlines and US AIRWAYS). His greatest pride and joy in addition to motocross racing, mountain biking and water skiing, was his four boys – ranging from age 10 to age 34. Glenn could build, wire, and fix anything – preferably without directions – to the awe and often dismay of his wife.
