Forrest Otis Kenley, Sr

Forrest Otis  Kenley Sr. (78) of Fort Mill, SC died around midnight March 12, 2021 at Atrium Health Pineville ICU surrounded by his family after battling cancer.

Forrest was born September 11, 1942  to Craig and Willie Kenley in Charlotte, NC.  Forrest graduated from South Mecklenburg High School in 1960 and attended Wingate  University for two years. Forrest served with the Air National Guard for several years before meeting his wife, Anne in May of 1965. They married the same year on November  28.  He was a loving husband and amazing father to his two children, Forrest Jr. and Shannon. Golfing, volunteering at the Fort Mill Church of God Food Pantry, and spending time with his grandchildren and family were highlights of his life.  In 1982, he opened his own business (A & E Printing and Supply) and was blessed with 25 years of good business. He was a wonderful, kind and generous man, and touched the lives of many. 

He was proceeded in death by his father Craig Kenley, his mother Willie Kenley, and his oldest brother Murray Kenley. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anne Kenley, his son Forrest Kenley Jr. (Jan), daughter Shannon Hinson (Ron), grandchildren Justin Kenley (Courtney), Lauren Kenley, and Joshua Hinson, his youngest brother Willard Kenley (Mary), and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  A Celebration of Life will be  on Thursday March 18, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, South Carolina.  In  lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Forrest, to the Fort  Mill Church Of God Food Pantry and Hearts Secured Ministry.
