Dietrich August Brathe

Dieter August Brathe, 80, of Fort Mill, SC passed away on February 7th, 2021 at Atrium Health Pineville.

Dieter was born in Swinemunde, Germany on November 1st 1940 to the late Albert and Luise Brathe.  He spent his childhood on the island of Borkum, Germany and came to the United States in 1956.  He graduated from Bogota High School in Bogota, NJ in 1958 and served his country in the US Army at Fort Lewis, WA from 1958 to 1960.  He married Barbara Ann Calligan on October 19th, 1963.

Surviving are his children Stephen and Christopher; his grandchildren Nicholas, Samuel, and Josephine; his sister Gertrude Claus, his brother Fred Brathe and wife Laury; his brother Bodo and wife Claudia; nieces and nephews Debra Claus-Walker, Peter Claus, Ryan Brathe, Erik Brathe, and Lauren Brathe.

Dieter was the founder and President of DAB Associates, Inc. and ran the company for 41 years.
