Devon Smith Obituary

Devon “Dino” Smith, 37, of Charlotte NC and formerly of Brooklyn, NY peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 1st, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving parents. He was born April, 4th, 1983 in Brooklyn, NY, son of Dorothy Mae Smith and Floyd Edward Smith Senior.

Outgoing by nature, Dino never met a stranger. Born and raised in Brooklyn,NY he learned early  the importance of loyalty, a practice that followed him throughout his life. Dino had a laugh that could fill up the room and had a gift of making everyone around him feel loved.  He was a super dad who loved and cherished his daughter Danielle Smith. They were the best of friends. Dino was preceded in death by his beloved nephew, Floyd Damel Smith. Most important to him was his family and he will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted father, son, uncle, brother, partner, nephew, cousin, and friend. To be absent in flesh is to be present with the lord. Dino is in divine peace, forever with us, watching over us and protecting us.
He leaves a lasting legacy to be cherished by his survivors, his endeared  Father: Floyd Edward Smith and Mother: Dorothy Mae Smith, Daugher: Danielle Mae Smith, His love: Ashley Wilson,  Brother: Floyd Smith Junior, Brother: Krane Smith,Sister : Tisha Smith, Nieces and Nephews, Aunts,Uncles,Cousins and friends.
