Clyde Fahrner Obituary

Clyde Andrew Fahrner, Jr., 95, of Fort Mill passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 following a period of declining health. 

Clyde was born on August 12, 1924 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the late Clyde A. Fahrner, Sr. and Jeanette M. Fahrner. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during World War II. Following his service in the Army Clyde worked for ATT as an Engineer and retired after 37 years in 1981. Clyde was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of American and was a former president of the club. He also assisted in installing "Life Line" at St. Joseph Hospital. Clyde enjoyed golfing, woodworking and traveling with his family. He was a member of Harrison United Methodist Church, Pineville, NC. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 40 years Nancy Weaver Fahrner, step-son Robert Carothers and wife Christine, step-daughters Connie Branscom and husband David and Cheryl Ard and Husband Barry. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and brother-in-law Joe Weaver and wife Judy. 

A service to celebrate Clyde's life will be held at a later date. 

The family would like to thank Hospice and Community Care and the Visiting Angels for the loving care and support given to Clyde during their time of bereavement.
