A native of Lincolnton, NC Mr. Reinhardt was a son of the late Jake Reinhardt and Mildred Houser Reinhardt. Mr. Reinhardt will be remembered as a man who loved life and lived it to its fullest potential. Holding onto this philosophy he loved to dance and never had a hard time finding a dance partner. He chose to live life on his own terms. He was a man who loved natured – walking in the woods, working in his Garden of Eden and even creating a garden behind his house that the family knew as Paw-Paw’s Park. Paw-Paw’s Park was even decorated by several metal sculptures he welded and created himself. He loved working on watches and clocks. He formerly attended church at Indian Land Baptist Church and Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. One of the memories that his children hold dear is the time when he worked for Cone Mills and the whistle would blow at the end of the day. They would walk to meet him as he made his way home carrying his lunch box. He was a special man who impacted a lot of people lives.
Surviving are his three children, Gene Reinhardt, Denise Reinhardt Jowers, and Bobby Dale Reinhardt; three grandchildren, Laura Jowers Mackinem (Christopher), Ryan Douglas Jowers, and Katie Jowers; a great-grandson, Jack Douglas Mackinem; his special friend, Debbie Stalling; and his lifelong friend, Robert Smith who was like a brother.
