Obituaries

Jane Evelyn Jones age 62, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC. Jane was born in Joplin, MO on August 19, 1949 to Phillip and Hazel Hurst; she was in the Chi Omega sorority and graduated from the Univ. of Houston with a degree in education. Jane taught briefly; she then worked with U.S. Airways, where she retired after 26 years as Reservation Manager for the Indianapolis Branch.

Jane is survived by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Jones of Fort Mill; her son, Chad Bloodworth and his wife, Amanda of Tega Cay; step-daughters, Jill Jones of San Diego, CA, Linda Goldsmith and her husband, Lee of San Diego, CA and Jennifer Newman and her husband, Rich of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Kanyn and Chance Bloodworth; step-grandchildren, Capri, Taj and Roman Goldsmith, Ava, Kai and Tia Newman.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Palmetto Funeral Home with Chaplain, Lee Dye officiating. Interment will follow in the Philadelphia United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Palmetto Funeral Home.
