Obituaries

Irma Gregory passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 at a local hospital at the age of 91. Irma was born in New York, NY on July 20, 1920 to her parents, Albert Walter Pfost and Elsie Marie Pfost. She married, Quindall Gregory in 1945 and lived most of her life in NJ. In her younger years, Irma loved to bowl and bike ride. In her later years water aerobics filled her time. She had a lifelong passion for needlework. The last 6 years she lived as a resident of Sun City, and adored all those who lived around her.

Irma is preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Quindall Gregory; her parents; and her brother, Kenneth Pfost.
Surviving Irma are her son, Wayne and wife, Cathy Gregory of Charlotte, NC,; son, David Gregory and partner James De Zinna of Richmond, VA; two grandchildren, Matthew and Erin Gregory; two great grandchildren, Jonah and Payton Gregory; and her sister, Marion Boessman of Rochester, NY.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012 at Palmetto Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lancaster SC Meals-on-Wheels at Lancaster Council on Aging, 309 S. Plantation Road, Lancaster SC 29720.
