Born in Cadiz, Kentucky Mrs. Long was the daughter of the late Jack Crenshaw LaNeave and Joy Hendricks LaNeave. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Gastonia, NC. She was preceded in death by her husbands; John Frederick Rawlings, Jr. and James Noah Long; a daughter; Sharon R. McPhail and a special aunt; Katherine L. Brockman. She is survived by a daughter; Patricia R. McMillan (Michael) of Fort Mill, SC; grandchildren; Kirk Hamilton (Leigh) of Blowing Rock, NC, Beth Hall (Richard) of Mooresville, NC, Rick McMillan (Erica) of Fort Mill, SC and Meg Weldy (Eric) of Pinehurst, NC and seven great grandchildren.
