Johnson, 73, born March 7, 1939 in Selma, NC and passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in Rock Hill, SC. Preceding him in death are his parents, Porter David and Chellie Mae Johnson; brother, Robert Leonard Johnson of Cayce, SC. He is survived by his 4 children; Charles David Johnson of Rock Hill, James Edward Johnson of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Joseph Wayne Johnson of Rock Hill and Melissa Jean Johnson of Rock Hill and their mother, Nell Morris Watson; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 3 nieces, Candace Johnson Fox, Cindee Johnson and Chrys Rivers; 1 nephew, Eric Beckner; great niece; 4 great nephews and 1 great, great niece. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill with Steve Ehrhart officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Palmetto Funeral Home for funeral expenses. |
