Name: William Lee Hanekamp Dates: Birth date: October 17, 1931 Death date: June 5, 2012 Obituary: Mr. William “Bill” Lee Hanekamp 80, of Fort Mill, SC, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 17, 1931 to the late George “Scotty” Hanekamp and Agnes Lambert Wooster. He was an entrepreneurial business man who enjoyed life’s challenges. He served as Army Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division from 1951-1954. Mr. Hanekamp was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his dedicated wife of 50 years, Joyce Kero Hanekamp, his beloved son, Billy and his wife, Carey also Tyler, his cherished grandson. Memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 154 Amendment Ave., Suite 105, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
